Inspired by nature my groups of leaves added a new direction to Rich Textures and Gorgeous Gems, which are the building blocks of my jewelry.  Here you will find my Tahitian cherries along with Magnolia leaves.  Enjoy earrings, rings, necklaces and pendants.

Asymmetrical earrings bring out the rebel in me.
I ususally don't like rules, and tend to break them!
If this resonates with you,

Ripples in the sand

Reticulation is both a metal alloy and a process.  Reticualation is a process of heating a sheet of metal which has an ratio of 80 % silver / 20 % copper). This alloy ratio allows for the copper rich metal to lose  molecules and cool more rapidly than the sterling silver.
Hence, you get ripples in the metal.

About Me

Barbara Smith McLaughlin Fine Jewelry is the culmination of a journey started in my childhood.    As a young child I recall playing “dressing up” but it was not the clothes that mattered it was the jewelry.  I have been blessed with a gift of color perception that most people do not have, I have more pins and cones in my eyes which allows me to see subtle color variations.  This gift came from my grandfather who was a master dye matcher in the woolen industry.

A lot of thought, time and patience has been curated into each piece of jewelry, capturing a moment of my life in metal and stones leaving an heirloom to be treasured for generations.
